The first-time parents share their experience during Typhoon Ulysses that wreaked havoc over Luzon.

Kapuso couple Pancho Magno and Max Collins have had such a memorable year that was both blessed and challenging. In an interview with GMA Lifestyle, the first-time parents opened up about how they dealt with the knee-deep flood during Typhoon Ulysses.

I mean baha pero mataas kasi 'yung house eh. So, ayoko talaga as much as possible magreklamo.”

“But 'yon lang talaga.

He also encouraged those affected by typhoons Rolly and Ulysses to try and look at the brighter side of things and be grateful for the blessings amid these trying times.

“I know it's really hard lalo na sa nangyayari ngayon.

“So, siguro 'yung pinaka-advice ko lang is always stay positive and parang ang pinakamahalaga pa rin is 'yung binigay sa'yo ni God na life, love…and 'yon lang talaga magpapalakas sa atin. Not only this year, but I think for years to come. I mean, forever.

His wife Max also asks everyone to continue being strong and faithful and to never lose hope that brighter days are up ahead.

“Huwag kayong mawalan ng pag-asa. Everything will get better in time and God is always there for all of us.”

“[There's a lot] going on in our world now, but hindi naman tayo in control. So, 'yon talaga, lift up everything kay God.

“I just really want to pray for everyone out there and I'm so sorry that you're going through so much pain and I really hope that God lifts you up in those dark days.”

The Kapuso couple welcomed their first baby, Skye Anakin, last July 7 and they will be spending their first Christmas as a family this year.

They both want to keep an optimistic mindset as they end this year and pray that all our fellow Kapuso will still find reasons to be grateful and hopeful during the holiday season.
