Kapuso celebrity Max Collins got her first acting award, receiving the Special Jury Award for an actress for her role in Rainbow's Sunset in this year's MMFF Gabi ng Parangal at The Theater in Solaire last November 27.

Dennis Trillo wins Best Actor in MMFF 2018

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Max expressed her gratitude to directors whom she has worked with.

“I would like to acknowledge a few amazing directors I've worked in the past - Direk Maryo J. Delos Reyes (you are greatly missed) and Direk Mike De Leon - thank you for all that you have taught me and for the chances you've given me,” part of the caption reads.

Thank you Lord, thank you Papa Jesus ❤️ This is the best Christmas present I could've ever hoped for. I never thought this day would come - especially not tonight! Rainbow's Sunset won big in this year's MMFF, bagging the Best Picture, Best Actress (Gloria Romero), Best Supporting Actress (Aiko Melendez), Best Supporting Actor (Tony Mabesa), and Best Director (Joel Lamangan).

Rainbow's Sunset and other MMFF films will be shown in cinemas until January 7.
