What international project is Max Collins getting into?
Kapuso actress Max Collins is set to appear in the American-Filipino crime TV series Almost Paradise, which was recently renewed for season 2 on Amazon Freevee, the video-on-demand streaming service of the company.
In an Instagram post on September 28, Max posted a picture of her together with lead actor Christian Kane who plays Alex Walker, announcing her involvement in the project.
“Secret's out! I'm part of Almost Paradise season 2!” she said.
She also expressed how lucky she was to be working with Christian.
Almost Paradise is about a retired Drug Enforcement Administration or DEA agent who moved to Cebu and purchased a hotel gift shop. However, the criminal element on the island kept pulling him back to the world of police work.
The series is star-studded with mostly Filipino celebrities including fellow Kapuso actors Richard Yap, Ryan Eigenmann, commercial model, and actor Will Devaughn, among others.
The series also starred veteran actors such as Nonie Buencamino, Ces Quesada, Arthur Acuña, and Zsazsa Padilla.
A few days ago, Max also posted a picture of her and Hollywood producer Dean Devlin who also produced the series and expressed how grateful she is for working with him.
This isn't her first action role though as back in June, Max revealed that she'll be playing as an assassin-nun in an upcoming digital film.
Meanwhile, over at his own Instagram account, Christian welcomed Max to the series, stating it was fun to work with her.
“Beauty and the beast! Welcoming the talented @maxcollinsofficial to #almostparadise So much fun for us to work with her,” he said.
He also explained why he looked “sweaty and disheveled” by saying that he was fighting with two guys for an hour before the picture was taken and that the actress will back his claims.
As of posting, no details yet as to what role Max will have in the series.
In a separate post, Christian said that missed the characters again and how much fun they are having making the series.
“We are having so much fun bringing this to life again. I've missed these characters,” he said.
He also promised to post more this year to keep fans “in the loop.”
