After years of searching for her brother, Maxine is finally reunited with Rodel.
On the December 3 episode of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), Maxine (Jennylyn Mercado) wiped away the mud covering the wounded man's face when the operation was over.
It was then that she recognized that it was Rodel (Neil Ryan Sese.)
Meanwhile, her military escort asked Lucas (Dingdong Dantes) to send a back-up because he was certain that the man Maxine was taking care of was a rebel.
Maxine couldn't believe that she found Rodel. Tears ran down her eyes as she recalled all the happy times they spent together.
When Rodel gained his consciousness, he saw Maxine. They embraced.
Meanwhile, Lucas was preparing his men for attack.
Rodel deduced that the militaries were evacuating other patients in the area because they suspected a rebel presence.
It was then that Maxine confirmed that Rodel was part of PRG. She asked for an explanation but her brother only gave her vague ones.
Lucas reached the hut where Maxine was tending to Rodel. When he managed to open it, he found Maxine, alone and crying.
