Bashers go away!
Maxine Medina’s mentor, Mark Abalos, who is a language and communication practitioner countered the critics bashing Maxine's send-off interview.
He said the Miss Philippines candidate has improved since training for Miss Universe, “For seven months, we had to meet and spend time together to get things done. We had to work on her personal growth and communication skills simultaneously. Maxine has improved a lot. She is hardworking, and she's doing her best to become a better version of herself.”
Abalos also stressed that grammatical errors may be unavoidable as English is a second language in our country, but he still believes that the Filipina beauty will ace the title in the competition.
“I never doubted Maxine's capabilities. As a language and communication practitioner, it is an honor to be given this responsibility. I know that she has what it takes to represent our country,” he defended.
Instead of bringing Maxine down, Mark encouraged supporting our candidate and to stop comparing her to previous representatives.
“At the end of the day, it's just a beauty contest. Maxine will still be beautiful. She'll still be designing interiors. She has a beautiful life ahead,” he said.
