Dyesebel was found guilty of mingling with legged beings, but no punishment could stop the young mermaid from going after the love of her life.
Once upon a time, in the far reaches of the sea, a young mermaid was left in the care of the motherly Banak who only wished goodwill to her adopted daughter. But Dyesebel had grown up to be a handful, and having fallen in love with the legged Fredo, Banak had no way of stopping the girl from breaking their kingdom’s number one rule: never head to the land of the legged.
But Fredo needed Dyesebel’s help. After being thrown overboard from his ship, the young man was bitten by a sea snake, and he was left for dead.
Without any thought for her safety, for her own life, Dyesebel swam up to the surface and saved Fredo’s life—just like he did hers when they were young. And she was caught by the jealous princess Berbola, and the queen’s right-hand man Usaro.
Brought to court, Dyesebel decided to tell the truth about her exploits in the surface. But to the queen’s dismay, instead of despising her, their fellow mermaids commended the acts of the rebellious Dyesebel!
On land, Fredo began to wonder if there really was a Dyesebel. After asking around and not finding a woman by the name, Fredo decided to return to his city and forget the girl. But how can he forget a face as beautiful as Dyesebel’s?
And back in the kingdom of Serenea, Banak decided to tell Dyesebel the truth about her past.
Dyesebel was no ordinary mermaid. She was the rightful heir of the kingdom’s throne! And Banak also told Dyesebel that the reason why her mother was cast out and forgetten, was because like Dyesebel, she too fell in love with a legged man: her father.
But instead of contenting herself to life underwater, Dyesebel grasped to the idea that her mother was able to have legs and be with the man she loved. And it is with this thought that Dyesebel sought out the one creature in all of the ocean who could give her legs; a creature who just may ask too much for her desire to leave above water.
How will Dyesebel manage to get her legs? And what is the cost for her wish to be with the man she loves? These are the questions that will be answered this week on
