Hiningan ng panayam ang ama ni McCoy de Leon na si Mark de Leon tungkol sa isyung third party sa hiwalayang McCoy at Elisse Joson.
Amid the news of McCoy de Leon and partner Elisse Joson's break-up, McCoy de Leon's father, Mark de Leon, briefly commented on the break-up issue and cheating allegations about his son.
In a YouTube vlog from Ogie Diaz, the showbiz reporter and talent manager shared that he texted Mark, who is a close friend of his, and asked for his side regarding his son.
Ogie said, "Sabi ni Mark sa text, 'Pasensya na boss Ogs, sa ngayon hindi po ako makapagsalita. Hiyang-hiya ako sa nangyari, pasensya na po.'
Rumors of a break-up circulated in December 2022 after netizens noticed the couple no longer have recent posts together.
McCoy's deleted caption on Instagram for one-year-old daughter Felize included him saying “Sana pag tanda mo wag magbago tingin kay daddy ha.
"Pasensya na kung hindi lang talaga nakaya ni daddy,” he wrote.
“Sana maikwento ko sayo pagtanda mo. Don't worry, masaya naman iki-kwento ko na may konting problema para naman maintindihan mo si daddy,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Elisse's post from a C.S. Lewis' quote right before New Year's Eve sparked rumors of their relationship on the rocks.
On January 4, McCoy posted a series of stories confirming he and Elisse have broken up but he denied the cheating rumors.
"Sorry po pasensya na po sa inyong lahat," he said on his first Instagram Story.
Then, he explained further, "Hindi po totoo 'yung mga convo na kumakalat, hindi po ako yun. Pasensya na po ulit."
He also emphasized, "Wala po involve na ibang tao and pinaka rason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana po maniwala po kayo. Hindi ko po intensyon."
McCoy did not reveal relationship problems which he claimed to be the main reason that led to his breakup with Elisse.
McCoy and Elisse first met in a television reality show in July 2016. They later on became an onscreen tandem and real-life couple. After a two-year relationship, they called it quits in March 2018. In August 2020, the pair confirmed they are together again. They welcomed their first child, Felize, in April 2021.
