Megan Young, Mikael Daez, Baby Leon

Megan Young and Mikael Daez admit struggles with Baby Leon on their trip to South Korea and Hong Kong.

Traveling to a different country can be challenging in many ways. But for parents, nothing is harder than going on a trip with a baby.

In their latest vlog, Megan Young and Mikael Daez got candid as they shared their experiences traveling with their baby son, Leon.

The couple recently flew to South Korea for a work trip to attend BTS's comeback concert. With Leon coming along, Megan and Mikael doubled their preparations and stayed extra alert throughout the journey.

"My heart is on fire because Leon is coming with us to Korea," Megan happily shared.

Still, she admitted to feeling anxious. "What I was afraid of when we were going to bring Leon on a trip, I think it's always, 'Is he going to be okay? Is he not going to have any meltdowns?' because we're so used to having an extra hand here at home in Manila."

Mikael echoed her concerns but chose to look at things from a more positive perspective.

"But for me, that challenge is what was gonna make the most memories," he noted.

During the trip, the couple realized the importance of being mentally prepared—not to get easily stressed, irritated, or ashamed. They shared that patience played a huge role in helping them grow and become more mindful as parents.

"There are so many things that are out of your control. You cannot be fully aware of what your baby needs immediately. You can't do anything about it, and you need to be able to accept that and still move in a way that you aren't rattled," Mikael reflected.

Thankfully, things went okay for the family. Baby Leon had a great time and remained calm throughout most of the trip. Whenever Megan and Mikael needed to work, Mikael's cousin helped look after him.

"Leon is so flirty," Megan fondly recalled. "He loves taking a peek at whoever's there. Then if it's a lady and they make him pansin, he kind of gives them beautiful eyes and the cutest smile. Everyone just melts when they see him."

One of the few challenges they encountered was Leon's dry cheeks and lips due to the winter weather.

The couple also admitted that their attention was fully focused on their son, leaving them with little time for themselves.

Still, through teamwork and love, they found the experience deeply rewarding.

"Kahit na ang dami nating naramdaman [at] hindi nagawa, it was worth it for the experience, photos, and memories that we have with Leon. Kasi ang saya eh," Megan shared.

Beyond South Korea, the family of three also enjoyed a trip to Hong Kong. Throughout their travel, they had fun swimming, exploring cafes, and indulging in good food together.
