Beauty queen and actress Megan Young confirmed in her Instagram update that she contracted dengue that is why she has been 'missing in action.'

The wife of Running Man Philippines star Mikael Daez stated that she found out she got dengue when she was recovering already.

Dengue is a viral infection caused by the dengue virus (DENV), which is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes.

In her Instagram post, Megan shared that infection also caused her to struggle with her milk production.

“I haven't had an update in so long because right after my previous messages, I got sick. Little did I know, I had dengue!! Only found out when I was recovering na (I had itchy patches all over my body). All is good now, but getting sick affected my milk supply so much.”

She continued, “I had such a struggle with my milk that during the holidays, when I got sick again, I decided to start weaning. It's been sooooo hard weaning, but after slowly doing so for 1.5 months, I'm starting to feel more like myself, less stressed, less snacking (nakakagutom mag pump!!), and less pressured.”

Before ending her post, Megan gave this advice to her fellow mommies. “Always remember that fed is best. We mommas know what is best for ourselves and our bebes.”

Mikael and Megan are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary this month. On May 2025, they announced the arrival of their first baby, Leon.
