Why is Megan Young saying goodbye to her “perfect body?” READ here:

Kapuso actress Megan Young is widely known for her good looks that can charm anyone in her way and her body that is sculpted to perfection thanks to her strict diet and exercise.

However, Megan says that she wasn't exactly enjoying the journey despite it looking picture-perfect in front of the camera.

She says on Instagram, “This photo is a reminder that I probably achieved my “summer body goals” back then, but the journey to get there was tough because of dieting and long hours at the gym.

“Hindi ako masaya sa food ko noon - ang konti at halos walang lasa.”

The former Mis World titleholder declares that she's making a big switch when approaching her fitness by vowing to eat healthier and not lesser like she used to.

“Nowadays, I'm not aiming for the “perfect body,” but I'm aiming to have a healthier one.

“I'm eating better - may lasa na ang food, and we're eating mostly pescatarian (with the weekly burger).”

She continued, “I'm listening to my body more and resting when I need to. And at the end of the day, I try not to be too hard on myself.”

This is not the first time Megan Young admitted to adhering to a strict diet.

In 2017, Megan showcased how she was able to regain her 23-inch waistline by doing pilates thrice a week and waking up early to squeeze in these sessions in her otherwise jampacked day.

During the quarantine, Megan relied heavily on a paid fitness app that fixes a daily workout routine for her, depending on what areas she'd like to improve on.

According to her, all she had to do was follow the program designed for her, and it helped her tremendously as it relieved her of having to think about what workout she'll do for the day.
