San Beda University Alumni Association gives the 2020 Distinguished Woman of Service Award to Mel Tiangco.
Veteran broadcaster and Kapuso icon Mel Tiangco was hailed as the 2020 Distinguished Woman of Service by the San Beda University Alumni Association (SBUAA).
The award is given to someone who "excelled in her professional field and has lived up to the Benedectine ideals of pax, ora et labora and the Bedan values of fides, scientia et virtus."
Tiangco was unanimously chosen as the recipient of this year's award by the SBUAA's Board of Trustees.
The award was presented to her during the annual Red and White Ball which was held on February 12 at the Manila Hotel.
