Actress Melissa Ricks shared on Instagram that she is still in the hospital after giving birth last January 14 since her daughter needs additional medical attention.
In a series of photos she uploaded via Instagram Story, Mommy Melissa revealed that Baby Mikaela is undergoing phototherapy session.

According to verywellhealth.com, phototherapy is a medical treatment in which natural or artificial light is used to improve a health condition. Treatment may involve fluorescent light bulbs, halogen lights, sunlight, or light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
Other names for phototherapy include light therapy and heliotherapy. In addition, phototherapy is used to treat newborns suffering from hyperbilirubinemia and jaundice.
Baby Mikaela is the first child of Melissa with her non-showbiz husband Michael Macatangay. They tied the knot in California in May 2021.
Meanwhile, Melissa already has a daughter named Kiera from her previous partner Charles Togezaki.
