Sa gitna ng mga intrigues at pakikipagsapalaran within the Rodrigo family, we find Shayne conflicted by her feelings towards her stepbrother, Joel and her friend Raul. With Joel as a new addition to her family, and the increasing affection her parents are lavishing upon him, Shayne feels jealousy creeping in. When she accidentally suffered a black eye caused by Joel, Shayne felt embarrassed to meet up with Raul and this gave him all the more reason to pusue her.
