Michael penned a letter for his late father-in-law and promised to take care of Julie.

I am feeling a lot less wonderful this season as I stumble through the grief of losing my Dad on Christmas Day.💔 Trying my very best to accept the unexpectedness and unfairness of it all. I am feeling so overwhelmed and I'm using every coping skill I can come up with just to get through it. Today, I find peace writing about him. . Just a few months ago, my daddy texted me, “If anything happens, just remember I love all of you my children”. He's been saying that a lot to us this year actually. He was never big on the 'I-love-yous'. That's just how he was. Which makes hearing it more precious. Daddy, I miss you terribly already. The pain is unbearable right now, but I know you would want me to be strong for Mama Net and my younger siblings. I somehow hear your voice in the back of my head telling me to watch over our family. And I will, daddy. I promise. Rest peacefully now in the arms of our Lord. I love you so much and I will be thinking of you always until we meet again.
