Three-time Asian TV awards Best Comedy Actor Michael V. marks a new milestone this July 30 with his family drama movie 'Family History' available now for streaming on Netflix Philippines.
Shown in cinemas in 2019, 'Family History' tells the story of a simple family man named Alex Dela Cruz (Michael V.), whose perfect life is turned upside-down after he learns that his wife May (Dawn Zulueta) has cancer.
'Family History' served as the directorial debut of Michael V. and the movie earned several praises from moviegoers and film critics, alike.
It also bagged the “Natatanging Pelikulang Pampamilya” special award from the 4th Guild of Educators, Mentors and Students (GEMS) Awards in February 2020.
In a Tweet early Friday morning (July 30), Direk Michael encouraged his followers and Pinoy movie fans to watch their movie on Netflix Philippines, which was a product of blood, sweat, and tears.

In his exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the multi-awarded comedian shared what he learned as a storyteller by doing the film two years ago.
“A storyteller does not rely on dialogue alone, especially in filmmaking.
“There are a lot of moments in the movie where you can feel the emotion kahit walang sinasabi 'yung characters.
"I plan to do a lot more of those in the future,” he concluded.
