Kapuso viewers watching yesterday's episode of It's Showtime got a historic surprise as Pepito Manaloto stars Michael V and Manilyn Reynes visited the noontime show to take part in Ogie Alcasid's birthday celebration.

During yesterday's episode on GTV, not only did Michael and Manilyn participate in a production number with Ogie, the pair also stuck around to talk a bit with the madlang pipol.

Thanks to Vice Ganda's prodding, Michael and Manilyn shared memories of their time with Ogie over their decades-long career.

For instance, Michael shared that he once joined a contest where Ogie was a judge. He ended up losing the contest because of Ogie, but the loss pushed him to work harder and achieve all he has achieved today.

Manilyn, on the other hand, recalled how she and Ogie wrote the song “Pangako,” as well as Ogie flubbing his verse when he took part in her first-ever concert.

Ogie and Michael V. Also treated the madlang pipol with a short performance of the Yaya and Angelina characters made famous by Bubble Gang.

This isn't the first interaction between Michael V and one of the It's Showtime hosts. Vice Ganda first met Michael V. during the GMA Gala. The host posted about the meeting on Instagram, through an Instagram story that featured Michael V. and Anne Curtis.

The GMA Gala was also another interaction between the It's Showtime hosts and GMA stars. Last month, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario shared hilarious stories from the GMA Gala.

The hosts recounted their hilarious experiences during the Gala, ranging from mismatched outfits to feeling welcomed by various Kapuso stars.

Anne talked about how fun it was to connect and make new friends as well sa talk to the people they've missed. Vhong also alluded to the after-party and their new “Gen Z” friends.
