Pepito Manaloto stars Michael V. and Manilyn Reynes were visibly emotional while shooting the tribute episode for the late seasoned actor and director Ricky Davao.
Direk Ricky played Robert Maceda Sr. (Ricky Davao) or Bob, the father of Robert portrayed by Arthur Solinap in the flagship sitcom.
The show even invited Ricky's daughter Rikki Mae Davao to play the role of Robert's sibling named Richie.
After shooting the emotionally heavy scene, where Robert and Richie learned about their father's death, Direk Michael and Manilyn immediately comforted Rikki Mae.

In a report by GMA News Online, Rikki Mae stated that she felt that her dad was there too and enjoyed the stories shared by the Pepito Manaloto cast about her dad.
"Naalala ko kakulitan niya sa mga kuwento ni Miss Manilyn. And, of course, to Arthur Solinap na minahal din si Papa."
Ricky Davao died at the age of 63 in May 2025. He was formerly married to Jackie Lou Blanco, and they have three children: Kenneth, Arabella, and Rikki Mae.
