Multi-awarded comedian and creative director Michael V. delighted the fans of the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona by sharing a throwback photo with him and equally talented OPM singer Kitchie Nadal.
Direk Bitoy, a self-confessed fan of Kitchie, recalled the time when Francis invited him to watch a performance of the "Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin" hitmaker.
He remembered, “Yup, this happened at one point in our lives thanks to Kiko himself.”
Bitoy continued, “Alam n'ya how I loved Kitchie's music (check out my parody) kaya nu'ng nag-produce s'ya ng show sa Klownz, he called me up and invited me to watch her live and meet her backstage.”
The Bubble Gang pioneer added that he will also never forget his friendship with Kiko, who passed away in 2009 after his brave battle against leukemia.
“I'll never forget that day. Same way, I'll never forget our friendship. Maraming salamat brod.”
Michael V. wrote a parody song based on Kitchie Nadal's single titled "Wag na 'Wag."
Meanwhile, other members of the Magalona family also took to social media to remember Francis M., including his wife Pia.
The latter uploaded a photo with her children while visiting the grave of the OPM legend.
In the captions, Pia wrote, “Fourteen.
“Bless the man if his heart and his land are one. Three Stars & a Sun.”
Siblings Maxene and Saab also remembered their late Pops by honoring him in their respective Instagram posts.
