
The family of multi-awarded comedian Michael V. quietly commemorated the first death anniversary of Cesar Bunagan, who passed away at age 77 on Oct. 14, 2019.
The three-time Asian TV awards Best Comedy Actor posted a photo of his late dad on Instagram.
In a somber mood, Direk Bitoy shared that somehow, they were quite relieved for two things: that the family members were all by his side at the time of his passing, and that his father did not experience the COVID-19 pandemic anymore.
He said, “It's been a year since nagpaalam ang tatay ko.
“Somehow, we're kinda glad na hindi n'ya na inabot ang pandemic. Nakapag-paalam s'ya ng maayos at nasa tabi n'ya kami until his final breath.”
The Kapuso comedy star added, “'Tay, wherever you may be right now, everyday I still pray that you're okay. Please watch over our families and our friends
Several celebrities reacted to Michael's post and offered their prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Tatay Cesar.
Bitoy, a highly-respected comedian and content creator recently survived his bout with COVID-19 and has slowly returned to work.
