The longest-running and multi-awarded gag show in the country, Bubble Gang held a successful book signing event this Monday evening (February 22) in the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City. 

Hundreds of fans flocked to the event where they had the chance to meet and greet the stars of the show. They were also given the chance to get their copies of the "I Am Bubble Gang: The Bubble Gang 20th Anniversary Commemorative Comedy Chronicles" signed by their comedy idols.

Spotted in the event were the Bubble Gang veterans like Michael V, Antonio Aquitania, and Boy II Quizon.

Also in attendance were Chariz Solomon, Betong Sumaya, Sef Cadayona, Denise Barbacena, James Macasero, Rj Padilla, Juancho Trivino, and Mikael Daez.

During the interview with the press, Kapuso comedy genius Michael V reveals what was the biggest challenge that their show had to overcome in its 20 year existence.

According to Michael V, "'Yung humanap ng material every week kasi sa tinagal-tagal nung show everytime na mag-uusap kami at may mag-pe-present ng bagong topic or bagong theme let's say for the gags palaging may bumabaril eh."

"Madalas ako nga 'yung bumabaril, kasi ako 'yung nakakaalala na, "O nagawa na natin 'yan o hindi na puwede 'yan, nakagawa na tayo ng parang ganyan o minsan nagawa na ng iba, nagawa na ng competitor or ng kalaban na gag show." 'Yun 'yung isang problema na kailangan namin i-solve every week," he said.

Still, Michael V pointed out that their team's passion to churn out fresh and new concepts every week is also their crowning achievement, making Bubble Gang a television trendsetter and is considered the golden standard of gag shows in the country.

Bitoy explained, "Ang accomplishment na masasabi ko eh sa dinami-dami ng ginawa namin na ganun at naging problema namin na ganun. Wala ng magawa 'yung iba [laughs]. Kumbaga kapag ginawa nila, I'm pretty sure nagawa na namin parang walang nagawang bago. So, every week na manonood ka from this point on its something na hindi pa nagagawa ng Bubble Gang and most especially hindi ba nagagawa ng iba."

The "I Am Bubble Gang: The Bubble Gang 20th Anniversary Commemorative Comedy Chronicles" is available at all bookstores and newsstands nationwide for only P450.
