Multi-awarded comedian, content creator, and director Michael V. wrote an emotional Instagram post on Thursday, March 6, to commemorate the 16th death anniversary of OPM icon Francis Magalona, more popularly known as Francis M.
Bitoy talked about the Three Stars and a Sun tattoo on his back.
“16 years ago and 3 days after Kiko passed away, I did something na hindi kasama sa mga plano ko sa buhay.” Bitoy wrote.
“I have nothing against tattoos except for the part na masakit pala s'ya.
“Pero minsan mas okey na 'yung sakit na alam mo ang pinanggalingan kesa du'n sa bigla mo na lang mararamdaman.”
He also stated that his good friend will continue to live for generations because of his music.
“FrancisM will live through his music. Every Time you listen to any of his songs, his memory will last a lifetime.”
One of Francis's children, Saab Magalona, saw Bitoy's heartfelt tribute and left a comment saying, “We love you Tito Bitoy”
Francis cemented his place in the Philippine music industry as one of the best rappers the country ever produced and is credited for hit songs like “Kaleidoscope World” and “Superproxy 2K6.”
The OPM icon died in March 2009 due to multiple organ failure, secondary to severe sepsis and secondary to pneumonia. Prior to his death, Francis M was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).
