The list of official candidates for Binibining Pilipinas 2018 has been released, and a first-timer and two beauty queens are among those vying for the crown this year.

Michele Gumabao, Catriona Gray, and Vickie Rushton qualified to the pageant’s roster of candidates.

Michele, a beauty contest newbie, used to play for the De La Salle University and is currently a professional volleyball player. She is the daughter of actor Dennis Roldan and the sister of actor Marco Gumabao.

Meanwhile, Catriona and Vickie have been titleholders before joining Binibining Pilipinas.

Catriona was named Miss World Philippines 2016 and even made it as the Top 5 finalist in Miss World 2016.

Vickie, on the other hand, was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2011.

The screening of the Binibining Pilipinas candidates took place at the Kia Theatre in Quezon City, yesterday, January 15. The coronation night will happen at the Araneta Colisuem on March 18.
