Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee continues to forward her advocacy on autism as she graced the art exhibit of the Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP).
Sparkle GMA Artist Center shared on Instagram a carousel of photos of Michelle at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of ASP's art exhibit at the Quezon City MICE Center.
In a Chika Minute report by Athena Imperial, the Sparkle beauty queen-actress emphasized how raising awareness on autism is a “lifelong mission” for her.
“I truly am inspired by every individual on the autism spectrum,” Michelle said.
She continued, “And I have two siblings of my own kaya napaka-importante po talaga na patuloy kong ipaglaban 'yung mga kinakailangan nila. Not just on the surface level, but really try to dial in on the solutions that we can offer them.”
The opening of ASP's art exhibit coincides with the celebration of National Disability Rights Week.
The exhibit aims to highlight art as a way for people on the autism spectrum to express themselves.
