Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee proved, once again, why she is one of the most loved and respected beauty queens today after sharing her blessings on one of her advocacies this September.
After she received her prize for the Voice for Change Challenge, the beauty queen did not think twice about donating it to the Autism Society of the Philippines, which amounted to P684,000.
“It was my privilege to (finally) present the Voice For Change award to [Autism Society of the Philippines] after our nationwide upward battle to win this special award. Alam natin yan,” Michelle wrote on her Instagram account.
According to Michelle, her award “will be mainly focused on [Autism Society of the Philippines] #AutismWorks program that aims to provide full-time employment or opportunities to earn for our brothers and sisters who have autism.”
She proudly said that the organization has been training over 300 individuals under the spectrum, and she is confident that “ this number can grow exponentially.”
In an Instagram video uploaded by Michelle, she affirmed her continuous support to the community and her being the ambassador of the organization.
"I will champion for you, I will be your voice,” said Michelle.
She added, “One step is still a step forward. Little by little, day by day, we'll champion towards an autism-okay Philippines.”
