Michelle Dee still isn't finished with serving her country, even with the pause in her pageant career.

Michelle Dee may have finished representing the country in the Miss Universe pageant, but that doesn't mean that the actress and beauty queen is done being in service to the country.

In one of her more recent posts on Instagram, Michelle shared more photos from her visit to the country's House of Representatives. Aside from expressing her gratitude at being recognized by Congress for her top 10 finish and her numerous special awards, she also wrote in the caption that she was also recognized for her new role as the Department of Tourism's new ambassador.

“Service has always been my love language and what better way to show that than by serving the country we all love,” she wrote.

Michelle's House of Representatives recognition is just the latest activity that Michelle has taken part in since returning from El Salvador. Michelle was also present at the Rizal Month flag-raising ceremony held at the Rizal Park in Manila. Michelle went to the event in her capacity as a Philippine Air Force Reservist.

Michelle also met the press at a conference arranged by Sparkle Artist Management, where she credited the Kapuso Network's talent management arm for her strong performance in the Miss Universe pageant.

“Sobrang nakakataba po talaga ng puso na mainit ang pagtanggap sa akin dito sa Pilipinas kahit hindi ko po naiuwi ang korona. I'm just so blessed to have all of your overwhelming support and of course to my GMA Sparkle Artist Management, thank you so much. My whole campaign wouldn't have been this strong if I didn't have the biggest network behind me and championing me as well,” she shared.

Michelle had previously credited Sparkle Artist Management back in October during her send-off at the Novotel Hotel in Cubao.

“GMA took me in when I was just known as the daughter of Melanie Marquez and when I didn't have any experience in the industry. It's because of GMA that I really grew to be this artistic person,” she recalled. “I chose to be an actress first before a beauty queen because I recognized that I still didn't have the confidence to be in front of a large congregation or in front of the camera. GMA really helped me mold that personality and truly they are the best.”
