Kapuso actor Migo Adecer says that he is ready to go back to work should the need arise.
However, he also admits that he does feel hesitant as "new normal" precautions just don't seem to be enough with the threat of COVID-19 still looming over everyone.
"Nobody can really trust their surroundings. For instance, me, I just came from 'Project Destination.' I was working closely with everybody there just to find out that our cameraman had passed away due to the coronavirus. He contracted it on our last few days of taping," Migo recalls in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.
He is referring to cinematographer Joseph delos Reyes who has also worked with him in GMA Telebabad epic drama serye Sahaya.
His colleagues celebrated his life and work with a benefit concert called "Para Kay Seph."
"That's the thing. I knew this person very well. It's like you really don't know who has this. It's just a bit scary, which is why I fled the Philippines and came here to Hong Kong," Migo shares.
He thinks that it would be good to wait until concrete solutions can be made about the disease.
"I understand that everybody wants to be making money but I think we should allow this situation to really die down. I know everybody is eager to work and get back to their normal lives but if we go back to our normal lives too early, there might be nothing to go back to," he says.
He also hopes that people in power will make decisions that have everybody's safety in mind.
"I hope they honestly do believe that they can make it a safe workplace because at the end of the day, you only live once and no amount of money is worth risking our lives," Migo says.
