What kind of OOTD did Miguel Tanfelix have in mind for the Preview Ball 2022?
The recently concluded Preview Ball 2022 honored the top 50 personalities who they deemed influential and recognized as “the movers and shakers in our local fashion, beauty, and art scene."
An actor and a creative thinker, Miguel Tanfelix took the theme seriously.
Preview encouraged their guests to “personify art” in their OOTDs or outfit of the day. The What We Could Be star did not disappoint and even took it to the next level by painting on his suit and wearing it to the ball.
In his Instagram post, Tanfelix posted a few photos of him wearing the suit during the ball and revealed the inspiration for his look.
“They told us to dress “as the art”, so I took the risk, did one on my suit, and named it "One Happy Accident," Tanfelix said.
He added that he was inspired by the words of painter Bob Ross “There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.”
He wore a simple off-white tee underneath an ivory suit. He then nailed the art theme of the look by adding black and pink paint that trickled down from the shoulder, then onto his left sleeve, going down his pants, and ending on his sneakers.
In an interview with 24 Oras, the Voltes V: Legacy star further explained that he just let the paint drip down his suit.
“For me, that's the meaning of art. Walang tama, walang mali,” he added.
His on-screen love team partner Ysabel Ortega, meanwhile wore a pink dress which, according to her, was inspired by the Mexican architect Luis Barragan.
“Very famous siya for structure, for texture and bright colors,” she said.
She also added that she chose pink for her dress because it's her favorite color.
Aside from Tanfelix and Ortega, other Kapuso love teams graced the event with their own unique take to the theme including Team Jolly Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay, Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara, and Lolong star Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali.
