Kapuso stars Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres start taping for Blood in Dispute in Phnom Penh today.

The love team is floored by the opportunity to star in a collaboration between GMA Network and Cambodia Television Network (CTN).

“Kakaiba ‘to [from all I’ve done before eh]. First time kasi na [mag] co-prod [ng GMA] tapos 'yung director namin, Canadian so [I want to treasure the] experience lang talaga. [Ang sarap] noong thought na makakagawa ka ng international project,” Andrea Torres said.

This huge project is a follow-up to the successful airing of Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga and With A Smile. These two soaps that Mikael and Andrea have starred in have been broadcasted in the Cambodian TV station and have been greatly supported by the Khmers.

Although their reception to the programs was overwhelming, Andrea did not expect that it would lead to a deal as significant as the one they’re working on now.

“Hindi ko na-imagine na magkakaroon [kami] ng ganitong opportunity. Gusto lang namin [i-enjoy]. Gusto ko lang talagang namnamin 'yung moment,” she added.

Mikael and Andrea are set to be back in Manila by May 7 to shoot some scenes of the mini TV series. They will be joined by Khmer stars.

Blood in Dispute is also a feat for GMA as it is the first time the network is co-producing a program with an international television station.
