Kapuso couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young shared their favorite hole-in-the-wall spots in Baguio in their latest YouTube travel vlog.
Right before 2020 ended, Kapuso couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young drove all the way to Baguio for a quick getaway.
Because of the pandemic and travel safety precautions in place, Mikael found it quite odd to see one of the top tourist destinations in the country so empty.
"It felt like we had Baguio City all to ourselves for 48hrs. The usual spots that would normally be full of people around this time were empty. Boneezy and I enjoyed just hanging out in these areas. Not doing much, just enjoying the weather and stillness of the place. It also reminded me how beautiful our country is. Can't wait for our next adventure."
"Although we are being given freedom to travel locally again, it is important to do it responsibly and within the rules of our new normal. Boneezy and I travelled to Baguio and shared the experience of getting into one of our most popular mountain destinations."
In Mikael's latest YouTube travel vlog, the couple featured their 48-hour stay in Baguio where they showcased their favorite café and a hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant they just discovered.
Late last 2020, Mikael and Megan flew to Boracay for a well-deserved break. It was also in that vacation where the couple made a promise to explore the Philippines more in hopes of boosting local tourism which is one of the industries hit hard by COVID-19.
This 2021, they finally made the big move to leave the city and move to Megan's hometown of Subic.
Mikael and Megan also recently celebrated their 10th anniversary as a couple. To commemorate their decade-long relationship, the two uploaded photos on Instagram where they each wrote a sweet message for one another.
