Mikael Daez and his wife Megan Young marked their 10th anniversary as a couple today, January 6, by taking to Instagram.
To celebrate, the Love of My Life actor posted a hilarious image of his wife sleeping in her wedding gown after a few drinks with their family and friends during their nuptials.
“Happy anniversary, bonez [Megan]!” Mikael captioned.
“To celebrate my 10th anniversary with Boneezy, I'd like to look back at what happened a year ago. Unfortunately, not much can be remembered as my wife spent most of her night looking like this during our wedding reception.”
He continued, “Buti na lang masunurin akong asawa and I followed suit by knocking out shortly after as well.”
The 33-year-old actor then posted a few cheeky hashtags, including “#WeProbablyHadTooMuchWater,” “#WhoKnewWaterCouldKnockYouOut,” and “#ComeToThinkOfItTheWaterTastedWeirdThatNight.”
While the actor-model went for a hilarious approach, the former Miss World was more sentimental as she greeted Mikael, who also turns a year older today.
Megan wrote, “Happy, happy birthday to the one person I know that doesn't remember his birthday or even cares to celebrate it.
“Fofo [Mikael] always says, 'Why celebrate one day of my life when I can celebrate and be thankful every day?'
“Some people can't believe that he doesn't celebrate his birthday, but it's always a nice surprise when both of us eventually remember,” she added, in reference to instances where she would forget about the double celebration.
The caption was accompanied by a black and white video of her and Mikael in a romantic photoshoot together.
The celebrity couple, who tied the knot twice last year, has been staying in Subic since the holidays.
According to Megan, working from home allowed her and Mikael to settle in her hometown and discover new places.
In a separate post, the beauty queen said, “I think this is the longest we've stayed in Subic for the holidays. Usually, we're only here for a couple of days, but since most of us are working from home, it's been easier for us to stay longer.
“This is our first time back in my hometown since our wedding last January, and we're slowly discovering new places. I can't wait to see what else is new in Subic and Olongapo.”
