In the latest episode of Mikael Daez and Megan Young's podcast, '#BehindRelationshipGoals,' the celebrity couple gave their listeners a life update about their recent favorite purchases such as their temperature-controlled coffee mug and smart light.
While on the topic of purchases, Mikael and Megan then brought up a possible future investment which they may or may not be getting: their very own PlayStation5 console.
With such high demand but so few stocks available, the PS5 is at the top of every techie and gamer's wish list right now. However, no matter how in-sync Mikael and Megan seem to be, they just can't decided whether or not they should get the console for themselves.
Costing about $500 or PHP 24,000, buying a PS5 is a huge investment and Mikael firmly believes that with their busy schedule, it's just going to collect dust in their home.
"Initially I'm a 'no' simply because I don't think we're gonna be able to make it sulit. I think we're rarely going to play it. Boneezy (Megan Young) and I as a couple have never owned a console together and even now, we're already having a hard time adding new games to our repertoire.
"PC games, switch games, and mobile games, we play what? Two games each, three games each, max. Paano pa kaya, a PlayStation5 console which requires even more dedication kasi mas-expansive 'yung mga games, something like 'Final Fantasy' or 'SpiderMan: Miles Morales.'
"How sure are you na masusulit natin 'yung PS5 at hindi siya mabubulok sa ilalim ng TV?" said Mikael.
On the affirmative side, Megan thinks that having a PS5 would be another avenue for them to earn money off of video game streaming.
"I have a counter to your 'no' and my counter is that we would be able to use the PS5 for work because I stream and when I play games on the stream, I feel efficient.
"I don't feel guilty because I'm not doing any work because technically, I'm working and I think Mikael should start streaming. People think that I'm the only gamer in this relationship but, to be honest, Mikael is more of a hardcore gamer and ako talaga 'yung casual gamer.
"He has a different way of doing his games and that's a side people don't get to see. He has this very critical way of thinking, a very very nerdy way. Grabe 'yung math na nilalatag niya sa'kin.
"Would you stream? I stream so I think we should get it," Megan posited.
In the end, they let their listeners decide whether or not they should get a PS5 in their video's comment section.
