Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre stars Mikee Quintos and Mikoy Morales proved that being a hero goes beyond the television screen. The Kapuso personalities brought pure magic and massive smiles to 200 children in Helping Land, Tondo, turning a health milestone into an unforgettable, star-studded celebration.
The heartwarming encounter began a month ago during an initial health assessment in the community. While waiting in line, the local children were spotted joyfully re-enacting scenes of Lira and Agnem—the beloved characters played by Mikee and Mikoy in the hit GMA fantasy series.
Upon seeing a video clip of the touching moment, Mikoy was deeply moved. He immediately reached out to his co-star Mikee, and together, the duo decided to personally visit and thank their young fans in the most impactful way possible.
On June 10, 2026, the on-screen partners status-upgraded to real-life "Champs" as they joined the first-ever Weigh-In Party hosted by the purpose-driven feeding initiative, GoodZone, at the Project PEARLS community center.
Mikee and Mikoy spent the entire day hands-on. The Kapuso stars helped serve nutritious meals, cheered the kids on during a fun "Healthy or Not Healthy" educational game, and personally handed out special gifts to every single child present.
The highlight of the event was a graduation-style Weigh-In Celebration led by licensed nutritionist-dietitian Coach Joanne Cruz-Baill, RND. Each child's name was called out to loud cheers from the community as their health and weight progress were announced.
Those who showed the most significant health improvements over the past four weeks received certificates of recognition. Additionally, every child went home with nutritious food packs, fresh school supplies, and brand new pairs of slippers.
The 90-day health initiative, which provides 200 malnourished children with complete meals four days a week, is heavily backed by the DigiPlus Foundation under its #MultiplyTheGood advocacy, alongside Project PEARLS founded by Melissa Villa.
For the parents in Helping Land, the presence of the GMA stars and the relief of steady nutrition have replaced daily worries with hope. As for Mikee and Mikoy, playing mythical warriors on TV is one thing, but bringing real-world hope to the children of Tondo is a real-life fairytale come true.
