Kapuso actor Mikoy Morales was the guest collector on GMA Artist's online program Cool Hub last Saturday, October 17.

The Pepito Manaloto actor has been collecting various kinds of Star Wars, Marvel, and D.C. action figures.

In an interview with the show's host Manolo Pedrosa, Mikoy said that his interest in action figures grew because of his father.

“My dad used to go to Japan a lot for work. He would always come home with lots of Star Wars toys. 'Yun kasi 'yung era na 'yun, e.

“Noong nagkamalay na ako, tinuloy ko siya because of apparently, marami na pala ako,” he said.

Aside from his father, Mikoy also mentioned people close to him, who have greatly influenced him on this hobby of collecting action figures.

“Isa sa malalaking influences sa akin nu'ng childhood ko was my eldest cousin.

"My brother also, my younger brother kasi kami lahat sa side ng mom ko, sobrang geeks namin.

“My eldest cousin sa mother side was my biggest influence. He was the one who made me really interested and in-depth level interest with Marvel and Star Wars in particular.

“Actually, even sa Lord of the Rings and DC,” he added.

Meanwhile, just like any other collector, Mikoy Morales said that buying and collecting his most-loved action figures is a form of self-fulfillment for him.

“Simula noong nagkatrabaho na ako, naging ginagawa ko na siya na parang self-fulfillment siya na natutuloy ko siya with my own money.

“I get to buy them and I get to buy things for myself. It's a way of self-care for me,” he shared.
