Curve Entertainment signs three talented Mindanaoan artists.

There is indeed a significant number of talented artists from the Mindanao region that are just waiting to be discovered, raring to be recognized. It is for this reason that Curve Entertainment signed a fresh batch of talents from the South ready to unleash their genius and artistry.

Twenty-one year old, singer-songwriter Jean Alejandro hails from Cagayan de Oro City. His latest release is a 10-track album called Quarter After 2:00, a collection of songs which deals with dark subjects like infidelity and toxic relationships. Jean has self-produced the album, something he loves working on. He has, in fact, collaborated with Arthur Nery in the studio in one of his earlier releases.

Jean is also an aspiring lawyer, and get to work on his advocacy on political change, mental health, and youth empowerment.

Another upcoming young artist from CDO is trilingual rapper Melanier Viado, more popularly known by his moniker, Nier V. He attempts at breaking through the language barrier in his songs by seamlessly switching lyrics from English to Tagalog to Bisaya to Japanese. This signature style was brought about by his multi-cultural roots.

Nier V was born in the Philippines, and at the age of 2 his family moved to Kuwait. He became an avid fan of the Japanese culture, and with these influences he made them as a tool to further express his rhymes. His latest single “Meet me at the Cafè” was recently released, and an album is coming up which he describes as “a reflection of my thoughts on romance, love and things like that.”

Next in line is R&B ballad singer-songwriter Chinoy Valmorida. The Kibawe, Bukidnon native is still trying to figure out his signature sound but his first two releases, the '80s-inspired “Gitna” and the emotion-filled R&B ditty “Alas (Abot Langit Ang Saya)” are testaments to his exceptional songwriting ability and vocal prowess.

Chinoy is now working on his debut album, writing new materials and recording demos in between review for his upcoming board examinations where he aspire to become an educator, while pursuing his musical dreams.

Jean, Nier, and Chinoy are very thankful for the opportunity that Curve Entertainment has extended to them. “Curve is really a big help to us, new and upcoming artists who are just starting to make a name in music. They make our voices, coming from the small corners of Mindanao, be amplified,” the three of them quipped.

The record label couldn't be more proud of these artists' achievement by far, and urges them and other aspiring new artists to keep the passion burning.
