Sobra ang pag-aalala ng former beauty queen at host na si Miriam Quiambao-Roberto nang tamaan ng matinding lagnat ang kanyang anak na si Elijah.
Doble ang kaba ng former Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up na si Miriam Quiambao nang tamaan ng sakit ang first-child nila ng kanyang husband na si Ardy Roberto.
Bukod sa nasa gitna pa tayo ng COVID-19 pandemic, maselan ang kundisyon ni Mommy Miriam, dahil sa kanyang pagbubuntis.
Sa Instagram post niya noong May 1, ibinahagi niya ang mga nangyari kay Elijah na may matinding lagnat.
Aniya, “This has been a rough week. Elijah came down with fever last Sunday afternoon and was battling fever for [three] nights and [three] days earlier this week. His fever went up to even 40'C on the second night. On top of this, he wouldn't want to drink medicine even if we mixed it with his favorite diluted juices or his milk. I got so concerned as this was the first time he has ever gotten sick.”
Kahit siya'y buntis, hindi raw nagawang iwan ni Miriam ang anak at siya pa rin ang naging punong abala sa pag-aalaga nito.
“Though pregnant and needing sleep myself, I just couldn't help but stay up in order to monitor the fever and give him a sponge bath to manage his temperature making sure that he doesn't get into a febrile seizure which may require an emergency trip to the hospital.
“Ganun siguro talaga ang nanay. Kung puwede lang, tayo na lang sana ang magkasakit para lang hindi na mahirapan ang ating mga anak.”
Lumabas sa resulta na nagkasakit si Elijah ng tigdas hangin.
May iniwan din paalala ang asawa ni Ardy Roberto na ipa-vaccine ang inyong mga anak. Aminado ang celebrity mom na hindi nila ito nagawa last year, dahil sa lockdown.
“After [three] days, his fever broke and he started to develop rashes all over this chest, back, neck and face. My pedia friend says this indicates that he has Roseola, a viral exanthem common among children his age.
“Tigdas hangin kung tawagin. Fever management and support lang ang kailangan. Thank God it's not German measles or Rubella or else it will be so hard for the both of us with me being pregnant and all as I will have to distance myself from him to avoid getting infected myself.”
“We failed to have his vaccines during the lockdown last year. Kaya dapat talaga we need to ensure that our kids get the vaccines they need.”
Bukod kay Elijah at new baby boy, may stepson din si Miriam na si Joshua, anak ni Ardy Roberto sa yumao nitong asawa noon na si Tingting Roberto.
