Chelsea's closed-door interview comes after she placed in the top five queens for Best in Ao Dai. The top five queens were Chelsea, Miss Cosmo Peru Kelín Rivera Kroll, Miss Cosmo Bahamas Beyonce Forbes, Miss Cosmo Ecuador Alexandra Mina, and Miss Cosmo Vietnam Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh.
Before her top five placement, Chelsea secured a spot in the top 17 of the Miss Cosmo National Costume Competition. In the caption to the post, The Miss Philippines organization said that Chelsea “delivered a remarkable performance in the Sarimanok-inspired creation by ER Stephen Alvarado, showcasing its cultural beauty with grace and impact.”
Chelsea also lit up the runway during the Miss Cosmo swimsuit competition, wearing a red swimsuit and a performance that The Miss Philippines organization described as a “flawless walk, striking figure, and full confidence that had the entire room locked in”.
Chelsea was the first candidate among the Miss Cosmo delegates to reach a million votes for the Miss Cosmo People's Choice competition.
Chelsea isn't the only Filipina beauty queen to make waves in the international pageant scene. Current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Ahtisa Manalo clinched the third runner-up position in the Miss Universe pageant. Ahtisa also recently had two homecoming parades held in her honor.
