Miss Makati Michelle Dee has emerged victorious in the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant, which held its coronation tonight at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Michelle charmed the crowd and judges with her response in the question and answer portion.

The question was: "Recently, the Department of Tourism has adapted a new branding campaign, 'We give the world our best.' For you, what is the best that we can offer to the rest of the world? Why do you consider it so?"

Michelle had this response: " I firmly believe that the best natural resource that the Philippines is us Filipinos. We are the true heart and soul of the Philippines with the way we are hospitable, with our warm smiles... And we are the reason why the world keeps coming back for more. No matter where the universe takes me, I'll always be proud to call the Philippines my home. And no matter what happens I will always be proud to call myself Pinoy."

While first runner-up and second runner-up honors went to Miss Zambales Christine Opiaza and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto respectively, the placements for Miss Universe Philippines Tourism and Miss Universe Philippines Charity will be announced at a later date.

Michelle triumphed over 38 other candidates and will soon be competing in the 2023 Miss Universe pageant.
