Filipina representative Chelsea Manalo failed to enter the Top 12 of the Miss Universe 2024 pageant and advance to the evening gown competition.

Still, the Bulacan beauty queen finished strong by making it to the Top 30 with 125 amazing women competing in the prestigious pageant this year.

In a video shown after announcing that she made it as a semifinalist, Chelsea stated “It has always been my dream since I was a little girl. I was only that girl, who would always look into the mirror and pretending I was proudly representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe.”

Even though she fell short, many Pinoy netizens are still cheering her on and expressed their gratitude for representing the country well.

Chelsea is the successor of Sparkle beauty queen and international model Michelle Dee, who made it to the Top 10 last year.

Currently, the country has won the Miss Universe crown at least four times. Past winners are Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
