Former beauty queen and certified beach bum Rachel Peters rescued a man who "got caught in a strong riptide."
Camarines Sur governor Miguel "Migz" Villafuerte is one proud fiance to Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters as she saved a man from drowning recently.
The public servant shared Rachel's feat on his Instagram account last November 29, accompanied by a photo of her with the man she rescued who "got caught in a strong riptide."
Migz said, "The ocean is a whole different world and learning surfing the right way, with the right people is the best way to know the ocean!"
He then told Rachel in jest, "Sige na papayagan na kita mag-Siargao nang mag-Siargao pa more babe."
Surfing and diving are among Rachel's hobbies and, needless to say, she was able to put them to good use, hence being referred to as "superwoman" by a certain netizen.
Rachel represented the country in the Miss Universe 2017 where she finished in the Top 10.
The Filipino-British beauty currently lives in Siargao and is managing her own cafe on the island.
