Miss Universe Philippines Ahtisa Manalo

Miss Universe Philippines Ahtisa Manalo welcomed the Thai ambassador alongside Mister Pilipinas Eco International 2025 Kitt Cortez.

The Miss Universe pageant coronation is still a long way off, but current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Ahtisa Manalo is already representing the country well and meeting foreign dignitaries.

In one of the more recent posts on the Miss Universe Philippines official Instagram account, the organization posted multiple photos of Ahtisa as she welcomed H.E. Ambassador Makawadee Sumitmor and Thai Embassy officials during their visit to media company RepublicAsia's offices in Intramuros, Manila.

In the caption to the post, the organization wrote that Ahtisa was accompanied by Mister Pilipinas Eco International 2025 Kitt Cortez and Special Envoy of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Thailand Bran Reluao. The trio also accompanied the Thai officials on a tour of Intramuros.

This isn't the first time that Ahtisa has met with politicians. Last month, she and Miss Eco International Philippines 2026 Gabbi Carballo, Miss Supranational Philippines 2026 Kat Llegado, Miss Philippines Cosmo 2025 Chelsea Fernandez, and Miss Eco Teen Asia 2024 Raven Doctor visited Congress after being invited by House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Back in December last year, current reigning Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo was invited by Congresswoman Richelle Singson to go to the House of Representatives.

Back in 2023, it was Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Dee who made a courtesy call to the country's House of Representatives, where she was lauded for her top 10 finish in the 2023 Miss Universe pageant.

Ahtisa has also not shied away from polcitcal issues, voicing her concerns about HIV and AIDS education last month.

In one of the more recent posts on her official Facebook account, Ahtisa shared her thoughts on the Department of Health's (DOH) announcement that cases of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) have increased among the Gen Z by 500 percent, calling the situation “a call to action.”

“This dramatic increase reflects a lack of access to accurate, compassionate, and age-appropriate sexual health education. Proper education is not about encouraging recklessness--it's about equipping young people with the truth, the tools, and the confidence to make informed choices about their health and well-being,” she wrote.
