Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo launched a donation drive on her 24th birthday to help those affected by Typhoons Ulysses and Rolly. As of writing, she was able to raise PhP 200K.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo just celebrated her 24th birthday.
To commemorate her special day and help her fellow countrymen reeling from the effects of the recent natural disasters, Rabiya decided to launch a donation drive for the benefit of those affected by the Typhoons Ulysses and Rolly in Cagayan and Metro Manila.
"I can't completely celebrate and be happy on my birthday today knowing the situation of some Filipinos in Cagayan. That's why I wanna ask help from everybody with a generous [heart].
"Any amount will do. Please contact 09176053868 for more details.
"All donations will be distributed for the benefit of our brothers and sisters in Cagayan and around Metro Manila who were greatly affected by Typhoon Ulysses and Rolly.
"Lalaban tayo, Pilipinas," wrote Rabiya in her latest Instagram post.
In a recent Instagram story update, Rabiya is proud to announce that her donation drive was able to raise PHP 208,000!
"As of 10:50 AM today; we were able to gather PHP 208,000. Thank you to all the generous donors."
Rabiya joins the growing list of celebrities who have stepped up to help the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.
