
The pageant is over and the country now has a new Miss Universe Philippines - Quezon Province representative Ahtisa Manalo.
Ahtisa Manalo won thanks to her response to the question “they say that a good leader leads by example, tell us about one event in your life when you lend by example and the impact it made.”
Ahtisa's response was “I fell a while ago at stage and the thing with me is whenever I fall in life, I always make sure I come back stronger. Last year, I was here on this stage and for the second time this year, I'm here putting everything on this stage to be Miss Universe Philippines, because this is mine and my grandmother's shared dream and she passed away early this year.”
Ahtisa Manalo triumphed over the five other queens in the finals, who were Miss Universe Philippines Sultan Kudarat Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Universe Philippines Siniloan Laguna Ylana Marie Aduana, Miss Universe Philippines Muntinlupa Winwyn Marquez, Miss Universe Philippines Taguig Ma. Katrina Llegado, and Miss Universe Philippines Cebu City Gabriella Mai Carballo.
The top six were picked from the top 12, which included Miss Universe Philippines Laguna Eloisa Jauod, Miss Universe Philippines Quirino Bianca Ysabella Ylanan, Miss Universe Philippines Pasay Amanda Russo, Miss Universe Philippines Bohol Tyra Goldman, Miss Universe Philippines Baguio Gwendoline Soriano, and Miss Universe Philippines Iligan City Juliana Fresado.
The top 12 was trimmed down from the earlier announced top 24, which included Miss Universe Philippines Nueva Ecija Chanel Olive Thomas, Miss Universe Philippines Occidental Mindoro Ain Niqyla Abad, Miss Universe Philippines Benguet Maiko Ibarde. Miss Universe Philippines Davao Angeleyh Caballero Pasco, Miss Universe Philippines Tarlac Sasha Lacuna, Miss Universe Philippines Malay Aklan Taylor Marie De Luna, Miss Universe Philippines Ifugao Valerie Claire West, Miss Universe Philippines Oriental Mindoro Rechel Hoco, Miss Universe Philippines Isabela Jarina Sandhu, Miss Universe Philippines Manila Jasmine Paguio, Miss Universe Philippines Lucena Bella Dela Cruz, and Miss Universe Philippines Bulacan Francheza Mae Pacheco.
The coronation night happened at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Audiences can relive the pageant highlights during the broadcast on GMA Network on May 4, 2024, at 9 a.m. on GMA and at 8 p.m. on GTV.
