Over on Instagram, the winner of Miss World 2016, Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle, penned a message for the fans pitting her against Catriona Gray. "Stop the hate and spread more love. It's the holiday season and hate should have no place anywhere."

Before joining and ultimately winning Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray first competed in Miss World 2016 where she placed in the Top 5.
