Current reigning Miss World Philippines Asia Rose Simpson is looking back on a fateful meeting with current reigning Miss World Asia Krishnah Gravidez, a week after winning the crown.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Asia posted multiple photos from Krishnah's Manila homecoming last year at the SM Mall of Asia. In the caption to the post, Asia recalled that the amount of people at the homecoming made it hard for her to hand the blue crocheted rose that she made for her. However, Krishnah's own mother saw Asia and her family's efforts to give the rose to Krishnah, pushing her to talk to Krishnah's security detail and allow Krishnah to give her gift.
According to Asia, it was an “unforgettable moment” to see Krishnah receive the blue rose as the beauty queen “beamed with incredible gratefulness and much joy.” She then wrote that she was giving “honor where honor is due” and that Krishnah is the motivation of her heart.

Asia won the Miss World Philippines crown during the coronation held last week at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Asia won over 23 other delegates with her response to a question about social media and how it has helped or hurt the country. Asia called for people to use social media responsibly and also tied her response to her own advocacy.
She answered: “Mental health issues are on the rise. One in seven children worldwide experience mental health disorders, and the World Health Organization realized that relays that 80 percent of adolescents don't meet the recommended levels of activity. That's where SED initiative comes in—my sports and dance initiative that specifically advocates for the physical, mental and emotional health of today's youth. Social media has so many benefits, it helps us all promote different businesses and organizations that helps us succeed. However, I think it's also used as a crutch for our creativity, for our social skills. Just let's use social media responsibly. Thank you."
Aside from Asia, Manila's Ana de Mesa was named first princess at the pageant, while Pampanga's Gabrielle Fuentes Galapia was named second princess.
Other queens that were crowned during the coronation night were Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2026 Lorraine Ojimba from Rizal Province, Miss Teen International Philippines 2026 Olivia Grace Reilly from Sultan Kudarat, Miss Universal Woman 2026 Marizza Delgado representing the Filipino Community New York, Miss Tourism International Philippines 2026 Jayvee Lyn Lorejo from the Davao Region, and Miss Global Philippines 2026 Valerie Pawid West from Ifugao.
Asia and most of the queens crowned last night were some of the frontrunners named during the charity gala held at Okada Manila, which saw the announcement of finalists for challenges like Dances of the Philippines, Miss Charity, Top Model, and Swimsuit.
