Two Miss World Philippines delegates are inching closer and closer to the crown as they have been announced as the top two finalists of one of the pageant's most important challenges.
In one of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Miss World Philippines organization revealed that Miss Ifugao Valerie Pawid West and Miss Pampanga Gabrielle Fuentes Galapia are the top two finalists of the Head to Head challenge, with final winner to be announced at the Miss World Philippines coronation night. The winning delegate will secure an automatic place in the pageant semifinals.
The Miss World Philippines coronation night is set to happen on February 3, 2026, 7 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Both Valerie and Gabrielle were able to beat out six other finalists, namely Miss Manila Anne de Mesa, Miss Davao Region Jayvee Lyn Lorejo, Miss Quezon City Asia Rose Simpson, Miss Rizal Province Lorraine Ojimba, Miss Naga City Zoe Sofia Gabon, and Miss Zamboanga City Ansha Lichelle Jones.
Aside from the Head to head challenge, the Miss World Philippines organization also named the top 11 finalists of its Beauty With A Purpose challenge.
The 11 queens are Miss Davao Region Jayvee Lyn Lorejo, Marizza Delgado representing the Filipino Community of New York, Margarethe Elize Romano representing the Filipino Community of the United Kingdom, Miss Ifugao Valerie Pawid West, Miss Iligan City Christal Briseis Polancos, Miss Malaybalay City, Bukidnon Gwen Marie Perion, Miss Negros Island Region Cindy Valencia, Miss Oriental Mindoro Ronette Castillo, Miss Quezon City Asia Rose Simpson, Miss Quezon Province Kiana Rose Henson, and Miss Zamboanga Peninsula Roveelaine Eve Castillo.
Just like the Head to Head challenge, the winning queen will be announced during the Miss World Philippines coronation night.
These challenges are just the latest activity that the Miss World Philippines queens have taken part in. Just recently, the queens went on a medical mission at the Nagkaisang Nayon Senior High School in Novaliches, Quezon City.
In the caption to the post, the Miss World Philippines organization described the activity as a “meaningful day of service” and one that embodies what Beauty With A Purpose” truly means.
The Miss World Philippines is looking for the successor to current reigning Miss World Asia Krishnah Gravidez, who has been busy during her reign. Back in November, Krishnah highlighted some of the legitimate donation drives being conducted by different organizations for the benefit of the victims of Typhoons Tino and Uwan.
Some of the organizations included in Krishnah's post include the Angat Buhay Foundation, the Kaya Natin Movement, and the Ateneo de Manila University.
