"Kailangan ipakita sa Pilipinas na male pageants matter too,” says Manuel Deldio, national director of Mister International Philippines.

Mister International Philippines highlights not only the looks but also the unique stories and advocacies of its candidates this year.

In a statement, newly-introduced national director Manuel Deldio says the latest edition of Mister International Philippines features an exciting mix of fresh faces and pageant veterans, all bringing with them their unique stories, backgrounds, and advocacies.

“We are crowning very soon our Distinctively Handsome winner. Masusi namin silang pinili. Kailangan ipakita sa Pilipinas na male pageants matter too,” says Deldio

This year is not all about looks. The next Mister International Philippines 2022 should be an advocate for sports and wellness.

“Advocacy is very important," Deldio adds. "You are who you stand for. What's your story? Who are you? What's your stand? These are the questions na hinahanap namin sa isang kandidato who will represent the Philippines sa international stage. He should love sports. He should promote wellness."

Recently, Mister International Philippines released official portraits of candidates in their formal wear. Along with it were the candidates' opinion about the importance of male pageants.

The grand coronation of Mister International Philippines is set on June 27 at Okada Manila.
