MONSTA X

MONSTA X will start 2023 right by dropping 'REASON.'

The start of 2023 will definitely be a blast for Monbebes as K-pop boy group MONSTA X announce their official comeback with the release of their new mini album REASON this January.

In an official post on MONSTA X's social media accounts last December 11, the boy band posted a teaser photo of the new album and revealed its release date which is set on January 9, 2023, at 6 p.m. (Korea Standard Time).

The release of the new album will follow their recently released album The Dreaming which serves as their second English-language album and features songs such as “One Day,” “You Problem,” “Whispers in the Dark,” and more.

REASON will also be the group's first new music since rapper I.M departed from Starship Entertainment. Last August, he decided to leave the company and sign an exclusive contract with Sony Music Korea. Although this is a given fact, I.M remains to be an active member of MONSTA X.

I.M wasn't the only member to embark on solo activities as MONSTA X's main vocalist Kihyun also released his solo mini album Youth in October 2022. The group's rapper Jooheon also announced his acting debut in November 2022. He is set to star in Netflix's upcoming film Lost in America.

Despite booming in their solo careers, MONSTA X remains to be a group that loves their Monbebes dearly and will continue to make music for them. Check out some of their fans' reactions to the good news.
