'Autumn in My Heart' star Moon Geun-young is getting married to actor Jung Pyung.

South Korean actress Moon Geun-young has announced that she is getting married, sharing the happy news with fans through a heartfelt handwritten message on social media.

Moon revealed the milestone on Tuesday, saying she wanted to personally tell supporters about the next chapter of her life. Various Korean news outlets, including Soompi, have shared her message.

"I have some news to share with you, so I'm putting pen to paper," Moon wrote.

She then shared the announcement many fans had been waiting for.

"I've decided to get married," she wrote. "I've met someone with whom I want to walk the road ahead together, someone with whom I want to share the moments I once faced alone and someone who can make me smile even over the smallest things."

Looking ahead to married life, Moon asked fans to continue supporting the couple.

"Instead of living as one, we hope to build our future together. Rather than worry or concern, I ask for your congratulations and encouragement. I'll do my best to live up to the support you've always shown me."

She ended her letter by expressing gratitude to those who have supported her throughout the years and promised to return with even better projects in the future.

Moon's husband-to-be is theater and musical actor Jung Pyung, who made his debut in 2007 and is seven years older than the actress. The two reportedly met while working together under the creative collective Bachi.

The 39-year-old Moon began her acting career in the 1999 film On the Way before becoming one of South Korea's most beloved child stars. She gained widespread recognition through the hit drama Autumn in My Heart and the film A Tale of Two Sisters, earning the nickname "nation's little sister."

She later established herself as a versatile actress with notable performances in My Little Bride, Painter of the Wind, Cinderella's Sister, and The Throne. More recently, she appeared in Hellbound 2 and the stage play Orphans.
