Praying for the speedy recovery of all the patients who contracted COVID-19!

South Korea is grappling with the effects of the highly transmissible COVID-19 Omicron variant, registering a record high number of infections.

Based on a report by channelnewsasia.com, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency reported a new record daily high of 342,446 COVID-19 cases on March 9.

What's more, we have been regularly seeing news too of K-pop singers and Korean actors getting infected by the highly contagious virus.

On Friday, March 11, two more K-pop stars were reported to have contracted COVID-19.

In an announcement made by HIGH-UP Entertainment, it stated that STAYC's Yoon received a positive test result from her PCR test. Fortunately, Yoon is not feeling any symptoms and has received three doses of the vaccine.

Currently, she's resting at home and following all the health guidelines by the government.

Meanwhile, singer and songwriter Jeong Se-woon, who got his two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, also contracted the virus based on the information from his agency Starship Entertainment.

The singer took a PCR test in a hospital and was informed that he tested positive. Just like Yoon, Se-woon is at home recovering and is only experiencing a mild sore throat.
