Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski shared in an exclusive interview with Chika Minute on 24 Oras that she deeply admires and is inspired by fellow beauty queen Michelle Marquez Dee.
During the Fast Talk segment of the program Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Bea also revealed that she considers Michelle her celebrity crush.
In her interview, she shared that she admires Michelle for the pride she takes in her identity as a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as her sense of fashion, qualities that Bea aims to carry herself as the reigning Miss Universe Philippines.
“As someone who is proudly part of the LGBTQIA+ community, it was just amazing to see a woman who proudly owns her identity and who is also so fashionable,” Bea shared.
“Something I would love to bring in my reign as Miss Universe Philippines is to be more fashion-forward like Michelle Dee,” she added.
Following her victory last Saturday, May 2, Bea immediately dove into a series of guest appearances and event attendances
She also discussed the advocacies she champions, noting that they serve as the driving force behind her continued journey.
“Continue promoting the rights of OFWs, protection for our environment, increasing the quality for our trans brothers and sisters is really what makes me continue on this journey,” Bea said.
During her interview, the reigning queen opened up about the deep personal significance of her victory and her commitment to representing the Filipino spirit on the global stage.
For Bea, the title is more than just a win; it is the result of tireless dedication and a promise to carry the dreams of her fellow candidates with her.
“It's just when the culmination of so much hard work and effort to be able to represent my chosen home means the world to me and it's really an emotional moment to not only bring the talents of the Filipino people internationally, but to carry the hopes and dream of of all my co-delegates who joined MUPH,” Bea shared.
Bea also addressed the recent criticisms regarding her citizenship, admitting that her journey is focused on being enough for herself and for the communities she supports and helps.
“For me, I've heard that I'm not enough my whole life, whether that be from Americans, they say I'm too foreign or from Filipinos who say I'm too American,” Bea said.
She continued, “At the end of the day, this journey is about being enough for myself and enough for the communities that I want to support.”
Looking ahead to the global stage, Bea expressed her unwavering commitment to her upcoming international journey.
She capped off her message with a heartfelt vow to represent the Philippines with excellence and dedication.
“I'm ready to make you proud in Puerto Rico. I promise to work hard and really make our country proud,” Bea proudly expressed.
The Miss Universe Philippines this year ended with a coronation night held last Saturday, May 2, 2026, where Bea was named the new queen who will represent the country in Puerto Rico later this year.
